About The Design Business: RPS Design Division delivers projects across sectors including residential, logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, manufacturing, data centres, and energy, balancing sustainability, materiality, cost, and constructability. We leverage digitalisation to enhance project delivery from concept to completion, integrating expertise across disciplines. What you’ll be doing: This role offers career progression within our industry-leading team. Responsibilities include: Producing detailed design calculations and sketches Applying technical engineering design knowledge Collaborating with Senior Engineers and Technicians on design and drawings Participating in survey, design, specification, and contract administration activities Conducting site visits and inspections Carrying out detailed electrical building services design for new and refurbishment projects Supporting feasibility studies and early design stages Attending design meetings Inspecting electrical systems and producing reports Using software for calculations and design Ensuring compliance with legislation and safety standards Producing and reviewing CAD drawings Selecting products and specifying installation standards Who we’re looking for: Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience aligned with IET or CIBSE standards, capable of designing electrical systems from concept through detailed design, including distribution, lighting, power, fire alarm, ICT cabling, and containment.
