We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Electrical Design Engineers (Water) for long-term frameworks across the UK, including a recent Β£100 million framework supporting river health with United Utilities. RPS has over 20 years of collaboration with United Utilities, working on innovative projects to improve water services in the Northwest of England. This 10-year framework aims to optimize programs, develop solutions, and deliver sustainable water management, fostering a resilient and eco-friendly region.

About The Team: Our Water Consulting team comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy to water industry clients. We work on prestigious AMP8 programs, offering long-term career growth.

About You: You will handle technical project delivery, monitor budgets, meet deadlines, and ensure quality standards, exceeding client expectations. Your role will involve collaboration, innovation, and making a positive impact on communities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects meet technical, legislative, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions based on client needs.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and ICA.
  • Build relationships with clients and partners.
  • Support design and advisory services for water and wastewater assets.
  • Produce detailed electrical designs, calculations, and reports.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project delivery, using digital design techniques.
  • Mentor and develop team members.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in process plant systems within water projects.
  • Hands-on experience in water/wastewater projects.
  • Proficiency in digital design within construction projects.
  • Leadership experience in technical teams.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
  • Membership with IET, InstMC, CIWEM, or in process of applying.
