Hydraulic Modeller – All Levels

Due to an increasing and diversifying workload, RPS is seeking to recruit Hydraulic Modellers to support our water quality, coastal and flood risk management business. We are open to applications from across the UK and Ireland to support our core teams working in Belfast and Scottish offices.

We have a long-term order book for a wide range of water companies, central and local government agencies and private sector clients providing a diverse range of services in the river and coastal environment. About The Team:

Our specialist engineers and scientists play a market leading role in the development of national strategies, feasibility studies and the design and delivery of water environment solutions. Applying the latest technology, innovative techniques and extensive experience, we connect clients with the information, advice and action they need as we plan for an uncertain future.

Experience:

·We’re keen to hear from all levels of experience and capability, including;

– high performing graduates looking to work in this sector,

– those with experience looking to enhance and develop their capabilities

– experts with a proven track record of building, calibrating and verifying complex numerical models.

·Use of packages such as InfoWorks ICM, MIKE suite of software, Flood Modeller Pro or other industry standard modelling packages

·Experience or desire to work in the design and development water environment solutions within the specialist areas of flood risk management, water quality, integrated catchment management and coastal processes.

  • ·Preferably experience working with a diverse range of UK and RoI clients.
  • ·Experience in the use of ARC GIS and AutoCAD would be an advantage.
  • ·Excellent Communications skills, with the ability to communicate with clients and other professionals.
  • ·Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team level.
  • ·Good work ethic and willingness to deliver as part of a team.
  • Qualifications:

  • · A degree in a relevant field of science or engineering
  • ·Chartered Membership or near Chartered for more senior posts.
