We are searching for an experienced Technical Director - Hydrology at our Edinburgh - Atholl Exchange facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for two TDs to join our Hydrology Team in Edinburgh and Leeds. RPS projects are all around you. You will currently be holding a leadership role for a hydrology team in a consultancy company.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake and complete drainage strategies from conceptual stage to detailed design stage;
- Provide leadership in the areas of water quality sewage management and consenting;
- Undertake consultations with Local Planning Authorities (LPA), Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) and other Stakeholders including Water Companies and Regulators;
- Undertake site walkovers and other technical and departmental duties associated with the role;
- Provide support in completing Flood Risk Assessments and ES Chapters;
- Support in bid preparation and fee proposals;
- Research and business development of potential new clients;
- Attendance at client and regulatory meetings;
- Keep up to date with drainage design trends, customer awareness and design techniques;
- Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff and the continual improvement of the Drainage team design and modelling capability.
