RPS has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector to work for the Asset Management team to inspect and provide feedback on the condition of assets and infrastructure to achieve the goals of the Water Consulting Business Stream across the UK.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting is a team of engineers, modellers, and data analysts providing asset management and operational strategy development to our water industry clients to support business planning and delivery. About You:

As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as Inspector is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our water industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • An Inspector is expected to be capable of successfully inspecting and reporting on water and sewage infrastructure assets.
  • Inspection reports will capture features and relevant information related to the provision of health & safety measures and structural conditions.
  • Working on policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a well-rounded and highly skilled team to help meet KPIs and grow the business.
  • Inspection reporting.
  • Additional responsibilities contributing to the Asset Management framework objectives.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in civil/structural engineering inspection and water site work would be preferable.
  • Experience in inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, and pipe tunnels along a pipeline would also be beneficial.
  • Civil / Structural Engineering Inspection skillsets from other utilities will be considered.
  • IT skills are essential as all inspection reporting is electronic, as well as familiarity with the MS 365 suite of programs.
  • Knowledge of health and safety culture and its application.
