RPS is seeking an Associate / Associate Director in Building Services. The role covers offices in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, and London. Our UK-based team operates across these locations.

What you’ll be doing:
- This role offers career progression for an individual aiming to advance as an Associate / Associate Director within our reputable team.
- You will work with team leaders and Business Support to optimise resources and manage project finances.
- Manage engineering resources and project finances across Building Services, including mechanical, electrical, utilities, BIM, energy, and BREEAM teams.
- Support growth and profitability of the MEP cost centre by managing operational delivery and bidding processes.
- Oversee the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring client requirements and deadlines are met.
- Lead financial performance and strategic initiatives across offices.
- Ensure active and accurate financial management to meet budgets and KPIs.
- Ensure all work complies with RPS Terms and Conditions and that tenders are approved.
- Manage resources to deliver profit margins.
- Provide technical leadership and support technological improvements.
- Oversee and manage project delivery, including variations, invoices, and debt recovery.
- Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Lead proposals and bid processes, collaborating across the business.
- Support business development initiatives and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with IMS systems and manage changes accordingly.
- Analyze and update financial data monthly.
- Ensure staff are equipped with appropriate PPE.
- Assist with ad-hoc duties as required.
Who we’re looking for:
- Background in consultancy or contracting within Building Services design.
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status or relevant degree.
- Approximately 10 years of industry experience, with leadership experience.
- Preference for internal-focused roles without external business development.
