Trainee Up Stream Losses Trainee Technician

The Asset Survey & Inspection team at RPS are seeking a Trainee Up Stream Losses (USL) Technician for the Welsh Water contract to be based in North Wales. The USL Technicians duties will include surveying Trunk Main District Metered Areas to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing

• Learn how to take responsibility for Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Management

• Develop a knowledge of leakage detection and distribution networks

• Gain an understanding of GIS and DMA

• Become First Aid Trained

• Become Confined Space Trained

• Develop an advanced knowledge of leak noise correlator – Laptop based.

• Develop hydrophone knowledge

• Learn how to survey and walk TM mains

• Full UK driving license

• A working knowledge of working within Utilities and Water Distribution is advantageous.

• Knowledge of trunk-main distribution and leakage is advantageous
