Water Engineer / Modeller β Graduate Assessment Centre
RPS continue to grow, and we are now looking to reinforce our Water Consultancy business in our Sheffield Office, with Graduate Wastewater Modellers and Engineers.
We will be hosting an in person Graduate Assessment Centre on the 2nd of September in our Sheffield Office. The day will last from 9.30 to around 16.00, and involve:
- Welcome Presentation
- Team Building Exercise
- Group Presentation Exercise
- Technical Assessment
- Individual Interview
You will have the opportunity to meet our existing graduates and employees. Lunch and regular break will be provided.

The Graduate roles available will combine office/home-based working alongside professionals who are at the forefront of the industry, with opportunities to complete site work where required for data collection.

Your Responsibilities (variable depending on your career pathway):
- Data handling and analysis of large datasets.
- Statistical analysis of data.
- Preparation of factual and interpretative reports.
- Construction and maintenance of hydraulic models.
- Client and stakeholder engagement and management.
- Provide input to development, maintenance and documentations of bespoke software tools and applications.
- Use of GIS, including software such as QGIS and MapInfo.
About You:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or Geography.
- Modules covering wastewater, hydraulics, GIS are desirable but not essential.
- Good communication skills and written English.
- Ability to work in a team to solve problems that matter.
- Computing skills including previous experience of Excel.
