RPS, a Tetra Tech company, delivers a range of ecological services to support renewable energy, residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across the region. We are involved with some of the largest offshore wind developments in the country, as well as onshore wind and solar, helping to deliver clean energy to the UK market. You’ll be planning and undertaking habitat surveys, supervising field staff and survey effort to identify indicator plant species and habitat types.
Write and deliver EcIA, ES chapters, inputting into HRA reports, providing some ecological inputs into supporting examination in public and/or the appeals process under supervision and inputting into design teams on green Infrastructure, BNG and strategic ecological inputs to the masterplanning process.
There will be travel involved so you will need to have a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Full membership of CIEEM and a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Established ecological consultant with extensive project management experience and a track record in consultancy.
- Experience writing and delivering Breadth of EcOW on a range of projects and understanding the process of preparing and implementing EPS and other licence applications.
- Experienced EPS licensed consultant (Class 1 or preferably Class 2 bat or other species) with full knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation and best practice survey techniques.
- Good time and project management skills, sound influencing and communication skills to build, maintain and consolidate working relationships with colleagues, clients and external bodies.
