Role overview

The role involves various administrative tasks including:

  • Scheduling courses for Learning programmes, managing logistics such as booking rooms, managing invitations, liaising with speakers, producing materials, managing attendance sheets, and booking catering.
  • Managing the logistics and administration of curricula and RPC firm-wide programmes to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Taking ownership of the administration relating to RPC firm-wide learning programmes for legal and business skills.
  • Supporting the L&D Managers with all administrative tasks related to off-site and residential training programmes.
  • Organising the production of the monthly Learning newsletter.
  • Managing the process for approving and booking individuals onto external courses.
  • Organising and managing one-to-one coaching arrangements.
  • Managing queries relating to SRA Continuous Competence.
  • Managing day-to-day expenses and budgeting for all L&D related activity.
  • Providing extensive diary management for the L&D Team.
  • Producing documents and materials for training programmes.
  • Managing L&D meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Maintaining accurate records of course scheduling and attendance.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects within the L&D team.
  • Supporting user experience testing for new learning technologies.
  • Carrying out supplier due diligence.

Systems responsibilities include:

  • Setting up AV equipment for courses and meetings.
  • Administering the Learning Management System (LMS), including data entry and monitoring attendance.
  • Managing LMS data and creating events and classes on the LMS.
  • Providing regular reports on training statistics.
  • Organising and managing mandatory training for new joiners.
  • Using and administering third-party systems.

Delivery includes providing desk-side coaching and support on the LMS.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
