Team Overview

Our Professional & Financial Risks team ("PFR") is part of the firm's insurance group, serving a well-established client base, including the majority of Professional Indemnity Insurers and their insureds.

Role Description

The PFR team handles a variety of claims against professionals such as solicitors, insurance brokers, accountants, and financial advisers. Responsibilities include defending liability claims, advising on regulatory issues, risk management, and policy coverage. The team also represents major insurers and large professional firms, and is highly ranked for professional negligence.

Position Summary

We seek a Senior Associate (preferably with 5+ years PQE) with experience in professional indemnity litigation. The role offers diverse, challenging work with opportunities for autonomy, client interaction, and business development involving matters from tens of thousands to multi-millions of pounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Professional Indemnity claims, including coverage issues.
  • Provide high-quality, timely client outputs, maintaining excellent client service.
  • Contribute to team process and service improvements.
  • Support team development and share expertise.
  • Gather and report management information as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years PQE or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in professional indemnity litigation; insurance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions collaboratively.
