We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator with experience in 5 Axis machining to join our client's manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce quality timber items.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Homag & Felder 5 Axis CNC machines, ensuring precise calibration and alignment for production.
  • Interpret technical drawings to determine requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist with machine setup, part inspection, and minor repairs.
  • Document data and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operation, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Edit codes to produce parts.
  • Support assembly tasks as needed to complete finished products.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience setting and operating 5 Axis CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Competent with machining and ideally timber products.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and tooling for machine setup and maintenance.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to follow safety procedures.

Working Monday‑Friday, 45 hours per week. Salary/wage based on experience.
