Industrial Blaster Wanted (Large Industrial Equipment) PAYE Employed Opportunity (Full-time, Temporary to Permanent basis). Annual Basic Salary Range: £26,000 to £35,000 (Depending on Experience). Paid on a weekly basis, during the 12-week probation period.
Specializing in large-scale projects across a variety of heavy industrial companies and equipment maintenance, working in a workshop and yard space, in enclosed units. We are on the hunt for a skilled Industrial Blaster with expertise in both water blasting and/or sand blasting to join our dynamic team and help us prepare some of the largest industrial machinery and equipment.
Working Hours: 40 to 42.5 per Week, additional hours available. Earliest Start 7am / 7:30AM (depending on workload). Finish Time around 5PM (depending on workload). Monday to Friday core working week (potential for weekend work/overtime).
Position Overview: As an Industrial Blaster, your primary responsibility will be to use water blasting and/or sand blasting techniques to clean, prep, and refurbish large industrial equipment, structures, and machinery. Your work is the backbone of the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize high-pressure water blasting equipment to clean large industrial equipment, tanks, pipes, and structures.
- Operate abrasive sand blasting equipment to prepare surfaces by removing corrosion, old coatings, or contaminants from steel, concrete, and industrial machinery.
- Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly prepped for subsequent coating, painting, or further processing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with water blasting and/or sand blasting techniques, preferably in an industrial/commercial sector setting.
- Experience with large-scale machinery or equipment is a must.
- Familiarity with high-pressure water blasting systems and abrasive sand blasting equipment.
- Physical stamina is required, including standing, bending, and lifting, often in demanding conditions, working in confined spaces.
