RP Moran Crane Repairs Ltd is a specialist in the installation, servicing, and repair of lorry-mounted cranes and commercial vehicle equipment. We support operators across the Midlands and beyond, delivering high-quality engineering, rapid response, and reliable technical expertise. As our workload continues to grow, we're looking to expand our team with a skilled and motivated Service Engineer.
You will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of lorry-mounted cranes (HIAB, Palfinger, Fassi, HMF, Atlas etc.) and associated hydraulic and electrical systems. This is a varied, hands-on role involving both workshop and field-based work.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults on lorry-mounted cranes
- Carry out routine servicing, LOLER inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Perform repairs, component replacements, and system calibrations
- Complete job sheets, service reports, and customer documentation accurately
- Provide professional on-site support to customers
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service
- Experience working with lorry-mounted cranes or similar hydraulic equipment
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams and follow diagnostic procedures
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
