Solution Architect (Data Focus) in Nottingham

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in data-centric solutions.

Job details:

• 6-month initial contract with a high potential for extension.
• Fully remote opportunity within the UK, with any ad-hoc travel expenses covered.
• Day Rate: Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)
• Essential Requirement: Candidates must hold active SC Clearance.

About the Role:

Join a major delivery partner on a transformative project for a large-scale, public-sector organisation. You will be responsible for designing robust, secure, and value-for-money data solutions that align with key digital principles and enterprise architecture.

You will report into a Lead Technical Architect, working within a multi-disciplinary agile team to drive the technical vision from discovery through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Lead, deliver, and support the technical architecture design for a key product. Create solution options, recommendations, and high-quality documentation for governance.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all product designs adhere to the organisation\’s Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture, and Product Roadmaps. Advocate for solutions that reduce complexity and technical debt.
• Roadmap Development: Be accountable for product architecture and contribute to the product roadmap, identifying and implementing effective architecture patterns.
• Community & Capability: Share best practices, mentor other architects, and contribute to the development of an inclusive architecture practice.
• Data Expertise: Design and implement solutions involving data integration from disparate sources (e.g., ERP, CRM, IoT), real-time data pipelines, and batch processing.
• Analytics & BI: Apply your knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence technologies to create effective analytics solutions.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience designing and representing end-to-end architecture solutions in an agile environment.
• Strong background in ensuring architectural compliance with established blueprints and standards.
• Hands-on experience with data integration, real-time/batch data pipelines, and analytics/BI technologies.
• A collaborative mindset, with experience working closely with engineers and other stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions.
• Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to produce high-level solution architecture artefacts for governance.
