Rate: £375-£400 per day Inside IR35

Duration: 9-12 months initially, open to extend

Location: Bournville (minimum 2 days per week in-office; occasional 3–4 days with prior agreement for project delivery IF required)

Summary: We are looking for a technically skilled and dependable Network Support Engineer to join our team, providing strong 2nd line support and helping to deliver critical infrastructure projects in collaboration with project managers and on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line network support, troubleshooting incidents, changes, and service requests across LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with project managers to plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects, including LAN refreshes, UPS replacements, and smart PDU deployments.
  • Deliver structured remote support by guiding on-site engineers step-by-step through implementation tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical standards.
  • Take ownership of assigned project deliverables, ensuring timelines, quality, and documentation requirements are met.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, PDUs, and OOB devices as required.
  • Document changes and configurations clearly, maintaining up-to-date network diagrams and records.
  • Proactively identify risks or issues during deployment and escalate appropriately with clear technical input.
  • Work in a hybrid capacity, with a regular presence at the Bournville office (minimum 2 days/week) and occasional flexibility for more days if/when project delivery demands.
  • Contribute to process improvement, sharing feedback and refining implementation standards based on field experience.
  • Maintain clear communication across internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful, standards-driven execution.
