Are you an AWS Developer with a passion for building and innovating on a modern cloud platform? We have an exciting contract opportunity to join a major programme, working within their dedicated Contact Centre Platform (CCP) team.
This role is a unique blend of 80% software development and 20% DevOps/CICD, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge AWS infrastructure, including AI models and automation components that are at the heart of the customer experience.
The Role:
Embedded within the CCP team and reporting to the AWS Lead Engineer, you will be instrumental in the route-to-live and ongoing support of critical innovations. You\’ll get hands-on with a modern tech stack, ensuring the reliability and performance of services used by millions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda (Node.js/TypeScript).
- Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate deployments.
- Support and enhance services within the Amazon Connect ecosystem and related AI models.
- Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operational support.
- Troubleshoot and optimise the performance of AWS-hosted services.
- Ensure all infrastructure and code adheres to strict security standards, including FCA compliance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (CRRM, IPG) to align on infrastructure and release processes.
What We\’re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Active SC Clearance or immediate eligibility (with 5+ years of continuous UK residency).
- Strong proficiency in software development with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Proven, hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- AWS Certified – please list your certification IDs in your application.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with other core AWS services: Route53, S3, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, DynamoDB, CloudFront.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git (Gitflow), Docker, and monitoring tools like CloudWatch or DataDog.
