Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for either one part time receptionist/administrator to join our friendly busy team at Royston Group Practice. Working hours are between 7:45am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to perform all reception duties including, answering incoming calls and dealing with any queries, booking appointments, ordering of repeat prescriptions, coding letters, booking annual reviews, registering new patients using SystmOne.
About us
Royston Group Practice is a busy GP surgery with over 7500 patients. We have 3 GP partners, 2 salaried GP\’s, 2 Practice nurses, 1 Nurse associate and one Healthcare assistant. We currently also have 12 admin/reception staff including 2 secretaries
We are open Monday to Friday 8am – 6:30pm
Job responsibilities
- Greets patients in the facilities and over the phone.
- Assists doctors, nurses, and patients.
- Schedules doctors and nurse appointments for patients.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks.
- Coding of clinical letters.
- Issues repeat prescriptions
- Maintains and keeps patient information confidential at all times.
Person Specification
Experience
- Experience of working in a GP practice
- Experience of using SystmOne
- Experience of using Microsoft Office
- The above experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate
