Children: Newborn due at the end of January; 17‑month‑old daughter already cared for by the family’s existing Russian‑speaking nanny.

Location: Holland Park, London W8.

Salary: Negotiable – dependent on experience. Holiday: 28 days, including bank holidays.

Employment basis: Permanent (6 months+). Live‑in until baby turns one year old; a live‑out arrangement could be discussed thereafter.

Working hours: Monday 6:00 am – Friday 7:00 pm (24‑hour coverage required, including overnight care). When travelling, work six days a week.

Detailed description

A warm and welcoming family based in Holland Park/Kensington is seeking an exceptionally experienced nanny to care for their newborn, due at the end of January. The family already employs a Russian‑speaking nanny for their 17‑month‑old daughter; this position focuses exclusively on the new baby.

The role begins in June, following the maternity nurse’s handover, with a short trial planned for January. Occasional ad‑hoc work may be offered during February–June.

It is a live‑in role until the baby reaches one year. After the first year, a live‑out arrangement may be considered.

A 24‑hour, 6‑day per week schedule when travelling with the family is required.

Required experience and skills

• Minimum 20 + years of senior nanny experience, particularly with newborns
• A gentle, calm, confident approach to child care
• Experience in high‑net‑worth, semi‑formal households
• Russian speaking and very strong English as a second language
• Excellent knowledge of London, especially Holland Park/Kensington
• Flexibility to travel; the family spends 6–8 weeks in Monaco during July–August and about six weeks in the Caribbean from mid‑December to late January. The nanny must be willing to work over Christmas
• No allergies to cats, as they are part of the household
