A warm, professional family is seeking a highly experienced live-in maternity nurse to support the care of their newborn. The role is focused on structured, calm newborn care while respecting the parents' preferences and approach. The family has a 2‐year‐old daughter and a cat.
Key Responsibilities
- Full care of the newborn on duty days
- Establishing a gentle, organised daily structure including feeding, sleeping and bathing
- Supporting both breastfeeding and bottle feeding as required
- Night care of the newborn
- Maintaining a calm, reassuring environment for the baby
- Baby‐related housekeeping only, including:
- Tidying the baby's bedroom
- Washing and organising baby clothes
- Cleaning bottles, feeding equipment and baby utensils
Candidate Requirements
- 15–25 years of professional maternity nurse experience
- Extensive newborn and postnatal care expertise
- Active, hands‐on and practical approach
- Flexible, adaptable and respectful of parental preferences
- Valid First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS check
- Comfortable sharing the baby's bedroom while on duty
- No driving licence required

Additional Notes
- On non‐working days, the maternity nurse will not remain in the household
- This is a strictly newborn‐focused role; care of the 2‐year‐old is not required
