Detailed description of the job

About the Family & Children

A warm and welcoming family based in Richmond, London is seeking a caring, proactive, and creative full-time nanny to join them long-term. The family’s eldest daughter, currently 3 years old, has been cared for by a nanny since she was 18 months old. Her current nanny is moving on, and the family is now looking for someone exceptional to take over.

The little girl is bilingual (English and Russian) and attends nursery daily from 8:40 AM to 12:00 PM. In the afternoons, she enjoys a variety of enriching activities, including tennis, gym classes, art, and music. She is a joyful, sociable, and artistic child who enjoys baking, arts & crafts, nature walks, and playdates.

The family is expecting their second child in October. Mum will take the lead in caring for the baby during the first year, and the nanny will primarily focus on the older child. From around autumn 2026, care will extend to both children.

The family lives in a spacious home with a garden and two dedicated play areas. The home is currently being renovated and will be completed by September. All activities and nursery are within walking or short driving distance. A driver is preferred, and a car will be provided for use during working hours.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Sole and shared care of children (mostly sole care of older child initially)

School/nursery runs (nursery is a 5-minute walk)

Planning and organising fun, age-appropriate activities

Supporting creative, educational, and physical development

Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children

Maintaining the children’s daily routines and schedules

Keeping the children’s areas clean and organised

Light housekeeping related to the children

Open and regular communication with the parents

Occasional travel with the family (approx. 3–4 trips per year to destinations such as Dubai and Europe)

Ideal Candidate

Highly experienced, reliable, and organised, with formal children-related education.

Naturally warm, nurturing, and engaging

Creative and energetic, with a love for outdoor adventures and arts & crafts

Fluent in English; knowledge of Russian is a plus, but not required

Able to work as part of a team with the parents

Willing to travel with the family on holiday

£500 annual CPD/training budget

5% performance bonus at the end of each contract year

A supportive and respectful working environment with a long-term outlook

Car provided for work use

Parking permit available if needed

Cleaner employed twice a week (no pets in the home)

This is a truly lovely opportunity for a nanny seeking a long-term role with a thoughtful and appreciative family.
