This is a pivotal role designed for an ambitious Senior Project Manager with 2–3 years of experience at this level who is ready to take on greater leadership, take ownership of major client accounts, and step into a Project Director position now, or in the next 1–2 years.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-budget event projects both across the UK and internationally. Working alongside creative and client service teams, you will oversee project financials, manage multidisciplinary delivery teams, and guide the production of high-impact corporate events, film, and creative content—with direct mentorship to prepare you for senior director-level responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Project Leadership: Oversee production, technical setup, logistics, delegate management, and supplier delivery for large-scale live and hybrid events.
- Team Guidance & Leadership: Mentor and direct Project Managers and Coordinators, helping drive team performance while stepping into line management as you develop toward Project Director.
- Content Strategy & Execution: Oversee the delivery of event content, video/film, digital assets, and live presentations in line with client objectives.
- Financial Oversight: Manage full project budgets to target margins, maintaining WIP updates, cash flow management, and post-event reconciliations.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain operational excellence, including ISO 9001 compliance, GDPR protocols, and comprehensive Health & Safety / Risk Assessments.
- Agency & Account Growth: Support account leadership with pitch creative, proposals, and new business opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
- Agency Experience: A solid background delivering live events and internal communications within an agency environment.
- Proven Track Record: At least 2–3 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager (or 5+ years total event management experience) delivering large-scale or international projects.
- Leadership Ambition: Demonstrated experience guiding project teams, with the drive and aptitude to step into formal line management and a Project Director role within 1–2 years.
- Creative & Production Savvy: Solid experience managing creative content, film, digital assets, and technical production elements.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong budget management skills with a thorough understanding of project profitability and margin management.
- Logistics: Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential for travel to the Midlands office and client events).
