We are partnering with one of the UK’s most distinguished independent event and brand experience agencies to appoint a Head of Events.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Events is the commercial and operational authority for the Events function. This role drives excellence, profitability, and long-term strategic client partnerships.

• Commercial Accountability (P&L): Own the financial performance of the operations function, including budget setting and providing strategic oversight of all project financial deliverables, resourcing, and profitability.
• Team & Talent Development: Directly manage and cultivate a large high-performance culture (10+ people), providing structured mentorship and development pathways for senior production talent.
• Operational Excellence: Define and embed best-in-class standards for delivery, efficiency, quality assurance, and risk management across the entire project lifecycle.
• Client Strategy: Act as a senior advisor and maintain key client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and identifying strategic account growth opportunities.
• Supplier Value: Build and leverage strategic supplier relationships to secure long-term commercial value and consistency in delivery quality.

Mandatory criteria:

• Extensive people management experience leading a team of 10+ individuals.
• Experience within a high-profile events agency environment.
• Track record of driving P&L accountability and exceeding commercial margin targets.
• Exceptional strategic and consultative communication skills.
• Well-connected network within the events industry and commitment to thought leadership.
