Are you a proven Account Lead or Strategic Client Manager seeking full P&L ownership of a high-profile, retention-critical automotive account within a dynamic agency setting?

We are seeking a decisive strategic partner—not just an executor—to drive the future of one of our agency’s most significant partnerships. This role is designed for a senior professional with a verifiable track record in securing, retaining, and achieving high organic growth from major Automotive clients within the agency landscape.

This is a mandate to influence executive strategy, lead integrated communications programs, and ensure the commercial success and stability of a premium client relationship.

Location & Work Model: Northamptonshire area. This senior leadership role requires 4 days per week presence at the agency\’s dedicated office to facilitate strategic collaboration and executive oversight.

🚀 The Mandate: Strategic Ownership & Commercial Impact

  • P&L and Retention Criticality: Own the full commercial P&L and relationship management for a highly valued automotive client, where long-term retention and executive-level satisfaction are the core metrics of success.
  • Sector Authority: Non-negotiable requirement for extensive, proven experience successfully managing and growing high-value accounts specifically within the Automotive Sector (OEM, Tier 1, or Premium Brand experience preferred).
  • Agency Leadership Essential: Verifiable track record operating at a senior leadership level (Account Director, Client Lead, or Head of Client Services) within a fast-paced Events, Comms, or Experiential agency.
  • Strategic Counsel: Operate as the primary senior liaison, providing informed, decisive counsel to executive client stakeholders across integrated strategies (Experiential, PR, Events, Digital).

📈 Executive Profile: Skills & Commercial Acumen

  • Commercial Acumen & Growth: Exceptional financial fluency and a strong track record of identifying, developing, and successfully closing significant organic expansion opportunities within managed accounts.
  • Strategic Planning: The ability to translate complex client business objectives into measurable, insight-led communications strategies that directly contribute to overall marketing and sales goals.
  • Executive Presence: Proven ability to build and maintain trust at the highest client levels, coupled with the confidence to lead pitches and defend strategy.
  • Flawless Governance: Experience ensuring meticulous financial governance and operational compliance across large, complex project pipelines.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior strategic liaison, owning all executive client relationships and providing decisive strategic oversight.
  • Lead the account growth strategy, aggressively pursuing and converting new business opportunities within the existing client structure.
  • Manage account profitability and the full project pipeline, ensuring impeccable delivery governance and brand representation.
  • Direct and lead performance evaluation, leveraging data and insights to develop compelling strategic narratives and future recommendations for the client\’s executive team.
