Royall are hiring for a fabulous premiership agency brand where world-building lies at the heart of everything we do. Constantly evolving and innovating in experience design, our projects span temporary installations, permanent exhibitions, live stage shows, immersive theatre, TV sets, metaverse worlds, and beyond. Architects are central to our creative process, shaping the experiences that define how people interact with space.
Our studio is a melting pot of talent—conceptual creatives, copywriters, strategists, architects, graphic designers, and motion designers—collaborating to deliver pioneering work for global clients. As an Architectural Designer, you will be at the forefront of defining and shaping the studio’s architectural output.
Responsibilities:- Contribute to creative leadership and vision, championing innovative spatial ideas and ensuring narrative integrity across projects.
- Translate client briefs into compelling design responses, guiding concept development from mood boards and sketches to full-scale presentations.
- Oversee detailed design and technical execution, applying knowledge of materials, fabrication, and sustainable principles.
- Collaborate across departments and with external partners to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Mentor and support junior designers, fostering collaboration, feedback, and growth within the team.
- Actively contribute to the studio’s creative language, challenge conventions, and help shape the strategic growth of the design offering.
- RIBA Part 2 or Part 3 qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in architectural, spatial, or experiential design.
- Highly proficient in CAD software (Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Rhino) and 2D/3D workflows, technical drawings, and spatial planning.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and developing high-quality visual presentations and renderings.
- Experienced in guiding projects from concept to construction, including tender documentation, production detailing, and on-site coordination.
- Passionate about narrative-rich environments that connect emotionally with audiences.
- Confident leading teams, presenting to clients, and managing multiple projects in fast-paced, creatively ambitious settings.
- Strategic thinker with strong aesthetic sensibility and a clear point of view on architecture’s role in culture and experience.
- Solution-oriented, calm under pressure, and able to navigate ambiguity with optimism and clarity.
