The Trust has re-affirmed its commitment to developing commercial opportunities across Private Patient services and is seeking an enthusiastic, engaged manager to help drive improvement.
The next six months are a crucial period for the Private Patient team, and we are seeking an ambitious, driven candidate who is looking to make a high impact and deliver tangible improvement.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work autonomously and be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of the day-to-day operations of the Private Patients department, whilst supporting the Trust to develop and embed its vision and strategy for the design and delivery of professional, effective and safe healthcare services to Private Patients, that meet its objectives for the future.
The post holder will work with key stakeholders to maximise revenue, including improving existing processes and exploring new opportunities to expand the private patient business.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, employment or continuing professional development.
- Evidence of continuous management/professional development.
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of interpreting and analysing national guidance and/or requirements.
- Knowledge of private healthcare market and trends.
- Understanding of NHS and private healthcare economy including healthcare politics and current NHS market reforms.
- High level communication skills to enable engagement between consultants and patients.
- Ability to market and grow PP business, whether in the NHS or private sector.
- Experience of having lead responsibility for delivering service and commercial performance within a hospital setting.
- Proven ability to provide and receive sensitive information and communicate this clearly to identify optimum solutions.
- Significant specialist knowledge and experience in on or more of the following areas: – Private healthcare contract management -Commissioning -Business Management.
- Experience & knowledge of business planning techniques and managing business processes.
- Proven experience of utilising complex spreadsheets to inform management decisions.
