The role involves providing a first-class service to visitors at the RZSS Highland Wildlife Park, engaging with customers and ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing first-class customer service by maintaining a positive, welcoming environment and a proactive attitude towards all visitors and colleagues.
  • Responding to unexpected situations (minor customer complaints) in a professional manner and seeking advice from your line manager when required.
  • Ensuring designated areas are maintained to the highest standard, including regular replenishment of stocks, cleanliness, and proper presentation of displays.
  • Occasionally assisting in other operational areas such as admissions, catering, events, retail, parking, tours & talks, or any other department needing support.
  • Sharing ideas and suggestions to increase revenue and minimise environmental impact based on previous experience.
  • Ensuring compliance with RZSS’s policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.

What we’re looking for:

  • Good achievement in standard grades (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
  • Valid driving license (for tours & presentations only).
  • Accurate numerical reasoning skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage customers empathetically to provide information, upsell products, and handle queries.
  • Experience in providing first-class customer care and service.
  • Previous work in a range of visitor experience activities.
