To provide high quality nursing care within an acute haemodialysis setting.
Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for patients with End Stage Renal Failure and Acute Renal Failure attending for their haemodialysis treatment.
The post holder will complete renal based competencies upon appointment with the expectation to provide haemodialysis treatment without direct supervision after a 12-month period.

Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
To participate in the rotation programme to our satellite units.
To participate on the on-call rota for the renal unit.
Use evidence-based practice.
Maintain accurate and legible records.
Maintain a pleasant and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Report to senior staff to maintain effective communication.
Act as a positive health educator at all times.
Maintain professional development and attend courses and training as required by the post including mandatory training.
Undertake duties as requested to meet the needs of the service within the limits of the grade.

We currently provide haemodialysis in hospital for both acute and chronic patients.

Applicants should be highly motivated, with excellent communication skills in order to work closely with the multidisciplinary team. Good problem solving and organizational skills are essential.
