Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Service Coordinator to join our team in the Fife Area. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a salary of £13.49 per hour (FTE £24,552 per annum). The successful candidate would need to live within and work across the Fife area.
About the Service Coordinator role:
- You will coordinate and facilitate the operation of groups for older people across Fife.
- The role of a Service Coordinator is to design, prepare and deliver activities for the groups on a weekly basis.
- Support the Service Manager with the co-ordination of Volunteers, including recruitment and training, to enhance the overall service provision provided to those attending the groups.
- Some of our groups cater for people who live with dementia and their carers, and you will be expected to deliver services to the same standard for these people.
Location: You will be working across the Fife area.
In order to fulfil this role, the successful candidate will need a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business use car insurance. Business mileage will be reimbursed via expenses.
Hours: 24 hours per week, 6 hours a day, including a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the benefit of group settings and activities for older people.
- A knowledge and experience of dementia (personal and/or professional).
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Good organisation and facilitation skills.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (mileage paid/reimbursed).
Experience:
- Experience of working with older people.
- Working with people living with dementia and/or their carers will be an advantage.
- Delivering activities within a group setting.
- Ability to proficiently use standard IT systems – Microsoft Office/Word/Excel, client database entry and management.
