Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Central Operations Business Partner to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary from £42,810 per annum.

About the Central Operations Business Partner role:

The Central Operations Business Partner plays a key role in linking financial management with strategic objectives across the organisation, providing financial reporting, budget management, advice on forward looking capital and resource allocation to Chief Operating Officer. The Central Operations Business Partner will interact regularly with key stakeholders (particularly the COO, and Directors/ Heads of functions including IT; HR; Operations; Marketplace; Programme delivery; Product; and Tech) to maintain relationships between core finance and central departments. You will act as a trusted advisor, driving performance, enhancing financial understanding, and ensuring effective resource allocation. You will also advise on the latest trends and innovations in finance tech AI/automation and commercial strategy.

Location: Home based with occasional national travel

Hours: Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week

What you’ll bring as our Central Operations Business Partner:

  • Knowledge Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Experience and understanding of financial planning to support high growth business/startup environments
  • Experience of latest AI tooling and techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable experience working with finance/ERP solutions
  • Advanced MS Office including strong Excel skills
  • Demonstrable experience working with tools assisting business analytics (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Excellent communication ability with the aptitude to lead activities, interact, relate to and get involved with people at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to manage relationships at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within a similar sized organisation
  • Business partnering experience with a demonstrated ability to influence business leaders and finance colleagues effectively
  • Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a person-centered manner with care, compassion and sensitivity
  • Experience working alongside central support functions
