Activity Group Coordinator across Fife at Royal Voluntary Service – part-time, permanent role. Location: home-based with travel to groups within Fife. Hours: 18 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 6 hours per day).

Role Purpose
To coordinate and facilitate the operation of groups for older people across Fife. Design, prepare and deliver activities for the groups on a weekly basis. Support the Service Manager with the coordination of Volunteers, including recruitment and training, to enhance service provision for attendees. Some groups cater for people living with dementia and their carers; you will be expected to deliver services consistently to the same standard for all.

What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you will need to hold a valid full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle with business insurance (mileage paid/reimbursed).
Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of dementia (personal and/or professional)
- Understanding of the benefits of group settings and activities for people living with dementia
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults
Skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Good organisation and facilitation skills
Experience
- Experience of working with people living with dementia and/or their carers
- Delivering activities within a group setting
- Proficient in standard IT systems – Microsoft Office/Word/Excel, client database entry and management
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day coordination of group provision including activity planning and delivery, refreshments and regular communication with group members and venues
- Coordination of volunteers, recruitment and training; support and value of volunteers within each group
- Deliver a high-quality activity plan at groups in line with best practice and attendee feedback
- Administrative duties including data entry for Management Information Systems
- Participate in local fundraising as agreed with Service Manager and Operations Manager
- Assist Service Manager in ensuring compliance with statutory standards, policies and procedures (Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Data Protection and Safeguarding)
- Undertake other reasonable duties as agreed with the Service Manager
