Role Summary
Deputy Head Equine Veterinary Nurse position at RVC Equine, a leading equine hospital. This role supports the leadership of nursing and technical staff, ensures high standards of patient care, oversees compliance with legislation, and collaborates with specialist teams in medicine, surgery, and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Nurse in managing a team of qualified RVNs, nursing apprentices and equine technicians.
- Assist in the delivery of exemplary nursing care and facilitate a positive learning environment for trainees and students.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement of services, implement and review policies and procedures, and support clinical compliance.
- Participate in shift patterns including out of hours, bank holidays and weekends.
Qualifications
- Positive can-do attitude, strong team leadership skills.
- Experience working in a busy Equine Hospital or practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
