An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Estates Department for an Assistant Maintenance Technician to support the delivery of a professional planned and reactive maintenance service across our Hawkshead Campus. This important role helps ensure our busy hospitals, laboratories, accommodation, offices and teaching spaces remain safe, functional and well maintained at all times.

We are looking for a practical and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn and develop their skills within a maintenance environment. You will assist with a wide range of maintenance activities across the campus, working alongside skilled maintenance technicians and supporting the upkeep of buildings, infrastructure and equipment.

Working as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, you will undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks, assist with inspections and repairs, help maintain plant rooms and workshops and support the delivery of an effective and efficient Estates maintenance service. You will also liaise with colleagues, contractors and suppliers to help ensure a high standard of service is provided across the campus.

This role demands a flexible approach to work and will require the successful candidate to undertake training as required and occasionally work at our Camden Campus when operationally necessary. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a variety of building systems and maintenance disciplines while developing technical skills within a supportive team environment.
