We invite applications for a Staff Clinician/Lecturer in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. The service is integrated into the large team of specialists at the RVC’s Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, located in our Hawkshead Campus, a 15-minute train ride from the centre of London and near international airports. The position appeals to those who enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive environment with flexible, family-friendly working patterns. We welcome both newly trained specialists seeking to consolidate their skills in a large collegiate team and experienced specialists interested in teaching and work-life balance.
Responsibilities include active involvement in clinical duties ensuring high standards of patient care, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate teaching through group sessions and seminars. Mentoring postgraduate students is also expected. The section is equipped with advanced imaging technology including a 1.5T MRI (Philips Intera), 3T MRI (Siemens Magnetom Vida), a state-of-the-art CT scanner (Canon Aquilion One Genesis) with power injector, high-end ultrasound (Samsung RS80A), digital radiography (SoundEklin, true DR C-series), and fluoroscopy (Siemens Axiom Iconos). A gamma camera is available at the Equine Diagnostic Centre, mainly for small animals.
Applicants should have a RCVS registrable veterinary degree and be eligible to sit for a postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. We offer a competitive package including:
