Are you a highly skilled learning systems administrator with a passion for educational technology? We\’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Learning Systems Administrator to ensure the seamless operation and optimisation of our core learning platforms.
In this vital role, you\’ll be the technical backbone supporting our university\’s digital learning environment. You\’ll manage the service desk, our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle), integrate essential tools, troubleshoot complex issues, work with our hosting provider, and ensure a robust and reliable experience for thousands of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Service Desk and provide regular reports on activity
- Administer, maintain, and optimise our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).
- Manage system integrations with other university platforms (e.g. SITS, Panopto, TimeEdit, KeyLinks)
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for learning technologies.
- Monitor system performance, implement upgrades, and ensure data security.
- Perform service reviews and raise incidents/requests with our VLE supplier.

- Proven experience in administering and supporting enterprise-level learning systems within a higher education setting.
- Strong technical skills in system administration, database management, and web technologies.
