Job Summary

We are looking to appoint an organised and adaptable individual who has NHS experience or relevant transferable skills, good people management skills, and experience of working in a team.

The Family and Specialised Service Division is seeking a motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individual for the role of Specialty Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a fast-paced, high-profile service that is a key performance area for the Trust.

You will need high levels of personal resilience and be a creative problem-solver. The ability to think outside the box with a solution-focused mindset is essential for success in this role.

This position is open to those wishing to develop, including NHS management trainees. It offers excellent opportunities for career progression and development.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 7 Specialty Manager within the Family and Specialised Services division at RUH, you will support our Maternity and Neonatal Services. You will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth daily operations and service development. Responsibilities include operational management to meet divisional and organisational targets, handling patient concerns, providing monthly activity and performance reports, participating in bed management, and line managing administrative staff.

We seek an individual with NHS operational management experience eager to develop at Band 7. You should have a strong understanding of clinical and operational pressures within the division and Trust.
