The purpose of the role is to provide skilled joinery and carpentry support across the Eikon Exhibition Centre, ensuring the efficient construction and maintenance of building fixtures to a high standard of workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- General joinery and carpentry work across the venue
- Building temporary structures and laying of temporary flooring for various events as required
- Erection of signage and installing of barriers and fencing as required
Skills and Qualifications
- Education and formal qualifications relating to the role e.g. NVQ or City and Guilds (If no formal qualification relating to the role, considerable work-based experience will be considered)
- Full driving licence
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualified joiner
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Experience in completing projects within tight time scales
