Salary Band: Negotiable according to current consultant salary scale plus London weighting
Hours: This is a part time post (6PAs) with a 1 in 9 second on call commitment (2% on call allowance)
Contract Length: 1 year Fixed term, maternity cover (beginning 1 April 2026)

About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a fixed term locum maternity cover. The post is for 6 PAs; PAs providing direct clinical care and PAs supporting professional activities.
The post holder will provide in-patient as well as community care.
The post-holder will share with colleagues in the training and professional development of the Specialty Trainees and other medical trainees. He / she will also be involved with the audit, research and teaching programmes.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in a wide range of palliative care settings
- Thorough knowledge of principles and practice of palliative care
- Enthusiasm for teaching
- MRCP, MRCGP, FRCR or FRCA
- Full registration with the GMC
- On or within three months of being on specialist register for Palliative medicine
- Knowledge/experience of Primary Care Sector
- Experience of training in research methodology
- Experience of clinical audit
