The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is seeking a Chartered Planner to lead on professional ethics work, supporting the Conduct and Discipline Panel in investigating and determining cases of alleged misconduct, and supporting members with proactive guidance and training. The role requires a town planning or law qualification and experience working in the planning profession.
Responsibilities- Lead the promotion of professional ethics within the Institute and in the wider planning sector.
- Carry out initial assessments of complaints and recommend whether they should proceed to investigation.
- Execute investigations and support the Conduct and Discipline Panel to determine outcomes and appropriate sanctions.
- Advise and support members to understand and adhere to the Institute's Code of Conduct.
- Town planning or law qualification.
- Experience in the planning profession.
Flexible working arrangement: home-based or office in London, Cardiff, or Edinburgh. Flexible working hours within the 21-hour weekly contract.
