We're seeking a Chartered Planner to lead on our professional ethics work, supporting the Conduct and Discipline Panel to investigate and determine cases of alleged misconduct and to support members with proactive guidance and training.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support members to understand and adhere to the Institute's Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the promotion of professional ethics within the Institute and more widely.
  • Conduct initial assessments of complaints, recommending whether they should proceed to investigation.
  • Undertake investigations and support the Conduct and Discipline Panel to determine outcomes and appropriate sanctions.

Qualifications

  • Town planning or law qualification.
  • Experience working in the planning profession.

Working Conditions

  • Part‐time, 21 hours per week.
  • Flexible working arrangements with the option to work from home or from our offices in Edinburgh, Cardiff or London.
  • Occasional face‐to‐face meetings in London may be required.
