The Outpatient Department is seeking an enthusiastic highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals in providing individual and structured nursing care. A flexible and adaptable approach is required to meet the needs of the service. You will be expected to have the flexibility to work within all areas of the Department.
We offer flexible shift patterns including 08:00 – 13:00, 13:30 – 18:30 and 08:00 – 18:00, ideal for part time and full time staff. We deliver clinics and outpatient services across a variety of specialities. Some of our clinics include: Respiratory medicine, ENT, Cardiology, Breast and General surgery

To provide nursing care to all patients attending Outpatients at the Royal Surrey County Hospital under the guidance of the registered nurses within the department. To ensure that care is evidence based and patient centred. The post holder will assist with administration and organisation of the nursing service within the Outpatient area including the teaching of new staff or those in training.

Qualifications
- Good standard of general education Fully numerate and literate
Knowledge
- Experience in a caring environment and demonstration of knowledge in relation to providing high standards of patient care, patient experience and customer care
- Have an understanding of what kind of information they are dealing with – conflicting/ controversial/sensitive and how they will have to deal with it
- To have an ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise
- Capability to plan over short, medium and long term timeframes
- To show excellent communication and interpersonal skills including an excellent telephone manor
- Taking decision and to what level. Autonomy/Freedom to Act / compliance with the policies
- Excellent customer care focus
- IT Skills, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills OR/AND any other relevant It systems applicable to the applicant
