Following a recent review of our outstanding Oncology service, we are pleased to be expanding our medical workforce numbers to meet the growing demand. The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust hosts a leading regional Cancer Centre, and we are seeking a well-organized Medical Consultant Oncologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expertise in the management and treatment of patients with Lung, Neuroendocrine and Hepatobiliary tumours. This includes offering Chemotherapy and systemic therapy. This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team providing exceptional regional cancer care in a modern, state-of-the-art facility. We are looking for candidates who are on the Specialist Register for Medical Oncology (or within six months of CCT date for resident doctors), have expertise and experience in management of Lung, Neuroendocrine and Hepatobiliary tumours, have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and continuous professional development, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Remit of the Consultant Post: Work with colleagues to provide a Lung, Neuroendocrine and Hepatobiliary oncology service. Provide the oncology service as a regional centre for Neuroendocrine and Hepatobiliary and lung patients in the East Surrey area. Offer Chemotherapy and systemic therapy expertise. Participate in regular consultant ward cover sessions. This remit requires a well-organized individual with good team-working skills and the ability to complete work within agreed timescales in cooperation with all staff groups and with support from senior colleagues.
