We are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Assurance Manager to join our established and experienced Risk & Compliance team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your role
Line Two\’s purpose is to be a \”force for good, helping the business to thrive and improve.\” This role plays a key part in keeping the business safe and in supporting the compliance and risk modernisation and empowerment agenda.
The purpose of this role is to assist the UK Chief Compliance Officer and the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Assurance (UK) in delivering risk-based assurance activity across the UK Business. You will ensure the business operates within applicable laws and regulations.
You will support the assurance framework and priorities, conduct compliance assurance reviews across various business areas, and test compliance with FCA, PRA, and outcome regulation, highlighting gaps or weaknesses. Additionally, you will analyze regulatory themes and trends to identify opportunities for operational improvements and risk mitigation, with an external perspective on industry developments and best practices.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering assurance reviews of varying complexity, developing test plans, maintaining evidence, and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions in line with requirements. You will employ diverse assurance approaches, including traditional, data-led, short, or ongoing reviews.
About you
You will have proven experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit, or similar assurance functions within regulated environments. An excellent understanding of FCA regulation, including the FCA Handbook and frameworks like ICOB, SYSC, DISP, and PRIN, is essential. Knowledge of regulatory provisions for commercial and specialty lines, along with experience in regulatory projects and remediation programs, is required. Your understanding of conduct risk and customer outcomes will help translate regulation into practical, business-focused solutions. A pragmatic, execution-focused approach to managing regulatory risk and ensuring compliance is key.
