The Royal Society of Medicine is one of the UK's leading providers of continuing learning for healthcare professionals, near to both Oxford Circus and Bond Street Tube stations. The hospitality department operates a conference, meeting, and events venue at 1 Wimpole Street and an exclusive Members Club facility for healthcare professionals.

We are looking for a hardworking, personable Goods Receiver to manage all aspects of goods management including accepting and unloading deliveries and inspecting goods while working closely with other departments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving Goods: Accept and unload deliveries, ensuring that all items are received in good condition and match the specifications on the purchase orders.
  • Inspection: Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and any visible damage, and report any discrepancies or issues to the relevant department.
  • Documentation: Accurately document and record all received goods, including entering details into the inventory management system and maintaining proper records for auditing purposes.
  • Stock Management: Ensure that received goods are stored safely and correctly in the club, following the company's storage guidelines and maintaining an organised inventory.
  • Communication: Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to deliveries, including damaged, incorrect, or incomplete shipments.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations during the receiving process, including the proper use of equipment and safe handling of goods. Adhere to all HACCP standards at all times.
  • Inventory Audits: Participate in regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods within the supply chain.
