Talenmark is recruiting for a R&D Manager to join a company in the Materials Manufacturing industry at their site based in Preston on a permanent basis.

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of specialist materials.
The Location
The role is based at our client's site near Preston.
The Role
Lead and coordinate the research, development and technical services function across all site competence. Liaise with your team, Sales, Production Planning, Production Management, Quality / HSE, Maintenance and Purchasing by providing technical support for any new or ongoing development projects. Contribute as necessary to the design/formulation of new products. Identify new materials and technologies available in the market.
Your Background
Masters degree or a PhD qualification in a science related subject, such as chemistry, applied chemistry or material science. Accomplished senior manager within a complex manufacturing environment, working within a technical or research and development function with responsibilities for technical support, new product or process development.
