SRG is working with a global manufacturer of polymer products, who develop and manufacture high performance chemicals for use in electronics. Based in the Merseyside area, they have recently started hiring for a new member of their R&D team. This is a great opportunity for a scientist with a background in the polymers, coatings, materials or speciality chemicals industry looking to progress in their career. Applications encouraged from people with industry experience or a similar background with a PhD or post doc looking to make their first move into industry.
Role Description
- Developing and project managing new and existing formulation products, supporting portfolio growth and identifying market opportunities
- Leading R&D projects through the full product development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and effective stakeholder communication.
- Scaling up formulations from laboratory development through pilot production to full manufacturing, working closely with engineering, operations and quality teams.
- Testing and evaluating formulations using a range of analytical and physical techniques to support product development, manufacturing and quality improvement.
- Driving continuous improvement in laboratory, testing and manufacturing processes while maintaining supplier relationships, safety, quality, risk assessment, documentation and intellectual property standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline
- Recent experience formulating products in the chemicals industry
- Experience in rheology would be a distinct advantage although non essential
- Ability to travel or relocate to the Merseyside area
- Full right to work in the UK.
