We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Marketing Executive to join our Sales and Marketing team on 12-month contracts. This role offers the perfect balance of working with data and collaborating with internal stakeholders and our diverse audiences.

We're looking for candidates with proven experience in revenue generating marketing campaigns. You'll oversee campaign activity from design to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while reporting on effectiveness and recommending strategic improvements.

Marketing optimisation, testing protocols and data analysis will be central to this role—you'll interpret performance trends and translate insights into actionable plans that drive measurable results. You'll develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to transform campaign vision and objectives into impactful marketing delivery focused on business outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Work with stakeholders and delivery teams to execute marketing campaigns, which enhance the product value to enable business revenue and meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate and support colleagues from across the marketing team to deliver team priorities.
  • Assist in the delivery and evaluation of an assigned programme of customer-focused marketing plans supporting key objectives for defined audiences and/or regions.
  • Ensure the delivery of integrated campaigns utilising a broad mix of channels and techniques (both on and offline) appropriate to audience requirements.
  • Consider regional requirements of campaigns in consultation with international offices to ensure maximum campaign impact globally.
  • Ensure personal accountability and ownership for end-to-end delivery of all assigned projects.
  • Actively support the monitoring of marketing activity to deliver cost-effective campaigns on time, to budget and brand.
  • Use customer intelligence and insight to ensure marketing campaigns are targeted to reflect the needs of existing and future customers and deliver results in the most cost-effective and efficient ways.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the RSC’s brand, products, services and corporate key messages.
  • Using knowledge of customer-focussed marketing, market dynamics and requirements, to support the maintenance of strong relationships with partner organisations and network with target audiences.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date awareness of the chemical sciences community and STEM sector, including competitor activities and policies.
  • Keep up to date with communications and marketing trends and developments to give the RSC a competitive edge.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and best practice standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing manager to support the delivery of initiatives.
Knowledge And Skills Required
  • Degree level required with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrable evidence of ability to plan, deliver and evaluate customer focussed marketing plans, working to budget and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of marketing promotion methods, practices and techniques, able to leverage the full marketing mix to meet the objectives of the campaign.
  • Ability to make best use of all channels & tactics to encourage our customers to acquire, use and retain our products and services.
  • Understanding of a global audience, ability to deliver plans tailored to specific customer segments.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and deliver key tasks in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and on your own initiative as well as being a strong team player.
  • A commitment to solve problems, challenges and obstacles to improve delivery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
