Working closely with colleagues across People & Culture, Technology and Finance, you will lead on advanced Workday configuration, workforce data modelling and analytics, and the integration of Workday and Adaptive Planning. You will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality data, delivering meaningful insights and maximising the value of our HR systems for the organisation. This is a hands-on, influential role for someone who enjoys combining technical depth with stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role. In this role it is expected that you will attend the office a minimum of one day per week. Travel between the Cambridge and London offices will also be required. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and configuring advanced Workday HCM functionality, particularly Advanced Reporting, Security and Integrations
  • Building and maintaining complex reports, dashboards and data models that enable workforce insight and planning
  • Developing and sustaining Workday Adaptive Planning workforce models and underlying data structures
  • Acting as the go‑to Workday SME for HR data and analytics, supporting stakeholders with complex requirements
  • Improving data quality through audits, process design and GDPR‑compliant data governance
  • Supporting releases, testing and continuous improvement in collaboration with HRIS, Technology and AMS partners
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Significant hands‑on experience across Workday HCM, with real depth in reporting, security and integrations
  • Proven experience using Workday Adaptive Planning for workforce modelling
  • Strong data analysis and visualisation capability, ideally in a complex or global environment
  • Confidence translating technical outputs into meaningful insight for non‑technical stakeholders
  • A problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work autonomously on complex system challenges
  • Workday certification is welcome but practical experience and depth of expertise matter more.
