Are you an experienced administrator who thrives on keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Do you have excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with discretion and care? Are you excited by the prospect of supporting creative leadership in one of the world's leading theatre companies? We are looking for an Office Administrator to provide vital support to our Executive Office team, enabling our Co-Artistic Directors and Executive Director to focus on the creative and strategic work that drives the RSC forward.
You'll be the organised, trusted colleague who ensures everything runs seamlessly – from booking international travel to greeting visiting artists, from managing correspondence to coordinating across our sites. As part of the Executive Office team, you'll work collaboratively with the Assistants to the Co-Artistic Directors and Executive Director, providing the administrative backbone allowing our leadership to deliver great storytelling that connects audiences and creates opportunities.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, key areas of responsibility include:
- Drafting correspondence, responding to invitations and filing documents.
- Coordinating complex UK and international travel, accommodation and bookings.
- Liaising between teams on scripts, pitches and coordination matters.
- Meeting and greeting visiting artists and industry professionals.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following:
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage multi tasks with attention to detail.
- Discretion, integrity and tact, with assurance that you can handle sensitive information in line with data protection law.
- Confidence using the Microsoft Office Suite, MacOS and WhatsApp.
- Collaborative approach to building positive working relationships across a large organisation.
- Flexibility to working occasional evenings and weekends.
This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although occasional weekend and evening work will be required.
