Job Description:
Do you have experience of working with nursery aged children and the rewards that sharing development milestones brings? Are you looking for flexible and casual work to fit around your commitments? Can you work collaboratively, safely and creatively in a beautiful and busy setting?
We are looking for Nursery Practitioners to join our brilliant team at theRSC Nursery to work on a casual basis, providing support at peak periods. Based in Stratford Town Centre, our newly refurbished space enables children to flourish, learn and enjoy playing at their own pace, whether that is indoors or in the outside learning garden. You will join a team of lovely nursery staff, in a beautiful setting, who are dedicated to early childhood education and development.

Reporting to the Head of Nursery, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
- Providing a safe and secure environment where each child is cared for equally.
- Working as part of a team to ensure that children can play, learn, and develop.
- Contributing to records of children\’s development and learning journeys.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships and communication.
- Undertaking duties as required, including the preparation of snacks and cleaning of equipment.
- Supporting practitioners in the delivery of the EYFE (Early Years Foundation Stage) ensuring that individual needs and interests are met.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you are:
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experienced in working with all nursery aged childrenfrom 6 months to 5 years +
- Perceptive and patient with a commitment to providing a happy, creative, and supportive environment to promote a child\’s development.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable and responsive; able to use your initiative and work well in a team and independently.

The nursery operates between 7.45am and 6.15pm, the successful candidate will be part of the bank staff covering staff sickness and holidays. We have various shifts covering the hours required operationally, these include:
- Full day 7.45am – 6pm or 8.00am – 6.15pm
- Morning shift 8.00am – 2pm
